This place is a dream.

We needed a weekend to unwind after many sleepless nights with our 3-year-old and found just what we were looking for. The cabin was perfect. We read books by the fire for two days, pausing only to eat Lori’s 5-star hearty breakfast (which she delivered one day in the midst of a massive snowstorm), and take saunas and get massages. In the morning we awoke to 14 wild turkeys dancing in the yard, and blue jays and cardinals all around. It was like an old Disney film! Lori is fun and wise and we really enjoyed meeting her. She was helpful with local eats, and helped us figure out our cross country skis when we took a little trip across the street through her expansive meadows. We can’t speak highly enough of Raven’s Crossing. If you need a retreat and prefer living off the grid for a few days- this is the spot for you!

Raven’s Crossing is lovely in the wintertime!

Raven’s Crossing is lovely in the wintertime! Our host Lori had a fire going in the wood stove so our little cabin was warm and inviting upon arrival. Our bed was super comfortable and we enjoyed a quiet, relaxing night by candlelight. We had a fantastic experience and would recommend Raven’s Crossing to anyone!

EPIC!

It is exactly as described - quaint, nestled cottage in the woods. Perfect for a rustic weekend with fabulous amenities - breakfast brought to your door (it was EPIC, better than restaurant, she even somehow managed to select my favorite tea when we gave her no specifics!), the sauna is an intense experience and first class, and the massage was much needed and well done. Lori really has created a Maine 'spa'!

“Unforgettable.”

I stayed at the other cottage a few months ago and think I might like this smaller oil lamp and candle lit Raven’s Retreat space even more. It’s magical. The wood stove keeps the place toasty and the bed is super comfortable. Be sure to get a massage by Lori’s gifted touch and to relax in the sauna. The grounds are beautiful for hiking and the night moon and stars are truly amazing.

The hot tub under a clear starry night sky was therapeutic

I’ve been dealing with some personal stress and decided impulsively to run away for the weekend. Lori was very gracious and accommodating with my last minute reservation for me (and my dog). The cabin was very cozy and felt very private even though it is a short walk from the studio/main house. Breakfast was yummy. I really enjoyed the well marked trail though the woods with an amazing view of a pond.

“Special place.”

Lori and her cabin and garden are so special and such a treat. Take her advice about swimming and ice cream! The cabin is incredibly peaceful and sweet. We only had one night and already are scheming to come back.
